    On 28 April 2021, the Canadian Coast Guard Ship "CORPORAL TEATHER C.V.", with 11 people on board, reported experiencing a fire near its main engine exhaust, 0.25 nautical miles S of the dock at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth, NS. A flexible watertight penetration joint had burned due to the heat from the main engine exhaust and the exhaust insulation had not been re-installed following hot work in January. No injuries or pollution was reported as resulting from this occurrence.
