On 18 October 2024, the Canadian Coast Guard Ship "LOUIS S. ST-LAURENT" struck the Canadian Coast Guard Ship "DES GROSEILLIERS" while approaching for a fuel transfer off Pond Inlet, NU. The "LOUIS S. ST-LAURENT" reported having sustained a total failure of its air bubbler system, used as a thruster at the time of the occurrence. Minor damages were assessed.
