On 14 December 2021, the Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker "PIERRE RADISSON" reported having sustained a fire in its engine room, 5 nautical miles NE of Saint-François-de-l’Île-d’Orléans, QC. The crew members were able to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.

On 22 January 2019, the container vessel "MSC CARMEN", under the conduct of a pilot, departed from Montreal, QC. Upon encountering heavy ice conditions near Lanoraie, QC, it was decided that the vessel would return to Montreal. The vessel became beset in ice while maneuvering and was drifting towards shore and anchored vessels. It was freed appromimately 5 hours later by the Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker "RADISSON" and two tugs. No injuries, damage, or pollution was reported.

On 24 August 2018, the passenger vessel "AKADEMIK IOFFE" ran aground 78 nautical miles NNW of Kugaaruk, NU. The Canadian Coast Guard vessels "PIERRE RADISSON" and "AMUNDSEN" were tasked to assist and 5 aircrafts were dispatched by the Department of National Defence. On 25 August 2018 the vessel was refloated and the passengers were evacuated to the vessel "AKADEMIK SERGEY VAVILOV". Three ballast water tanks and 2 fuel oil bunker tanks were breached and took on water. Approximately 80 liters of the vessel's bunkers were released in the environment.
