On 29 May 2026, the Canadian Coast Guard Ship "SIR WILFRID LAURIER", with 46 people on board, reported that one of the fishery officers fell overboard while transferring from an inspected fishing vessel to the "SIR WILFRID LAURIER" fast rescue craft in the North Pacific Ocean. The fishery officer was rescued and reported not injured.
