    On 05 October 2023, the Canadian Coast Guard Ship workboat "C28435NS", with 3 people on board, reported having run aground in the vicinity of Broad Cove, NS. The grounded vessel was pulled off the shore by a vessel of opportunity and proceeded to the "SIR WILLIAM ALEXANDER" on its own power.

    On 23 January 2020, the aluminum barge for the Canadian Coast Guard Ship "SIR WILLIAM ALEXANDER", with 5 people on board, reported a person overboard when preparing to lift a buoy in Cupid's Cove, NL. The person in the water was wearing a flotation suit at the time and was recovered by the barge crew quickly and without injury.
