On 09 June 2017, the service vessel "MAERSK DISPATCHER", with 16 people on board and while deploying a buoy reported that a crew member was injured after the mooring system became fouled in its propeller 210 nautical miles east of Cape Race, NL. The crew member was subsequently evacuated.

On 15 July 2006, the vessel's auxillary generator suffered a mechanical failure (crankcase explosion). Oil spray ignited and was quickly extinguished by the automatic water mist system.
