On 27 March 2012, the tug "PATRICE MCALLISTER" suffered a fire in the engine room at Point Petre, Lake Ontario, Ontario. Five crew were evacuated by the CCGS "CAPE HEARNE". One injured crew member was medevaced by helicopter and then died.
